Aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and China have discussed specific measures to expand cooperation, QazMonitor reports citing the civil aviation committee.
What happened: Negotiations between Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee and China’s Civil Aviation Administration were held in Xi'an on June 21.
The aviation authorities agreed to:
Expand the number of authorized frequencies by selected carriers to 124 flights per week
Remove point and frequency restrictions on cargo flights
Increase the number of carriers performing flights between the countries
Add new destinations in China
Permit Kazakh carriers to operate an unlimited number of flights to Hainan Island
Establish the Open Skies regime
Authorize operating up to 42 weekly flights utilizing the Fifth Freedom of the Air
